How was your weekend?
Mine was like this:

Good-bye party of a friend on Friday. Singing and dancing which made me lose my voice. Sad face. Really quiet Saturday and Sunday as I was not allowed to talk (not that I could). Drinking liters of sage tea. Taking long walks in the grain fields. Relaxing and taking a nap at the river bank. Reading the Lonely Planet magazine on the balcony next to my Hibiskus and dreaming of far away, exotic places.

Hope your weekend was more exciting! My voice has come back and I am in the office sounding like I drank Whiskey all weekend long. Haha :)

  1. oh no! not the voice... that's happened to me a time or two, always a little sheepish in the office when i had to go in too.

Loooove your photos. the first part of your weekend sounds fun, the rest relaxing... that's a good weekend!

  6. hehe glad you got your voice back...!! For me it's so frustrating not to be able to speak (I talk too much!). I'm loving the corn field pictures!

  7. Funny, I used to lose my voice very often. As a consolation, a bit more of sea baths and a bit less of business travelling (or I guess, singing in the night) has helped a lot.
But the important thing, wow, a river to swim by your place! I love swimming in rivers, the feeling of the current, playing with it to go from one riverside to the other, the sweet taste of the water too.
One of my favourite spots ( in summer, well understood) for that is La Gave d'Oloron as it goes across Sauveterre-de-Béarn, a medieval village in the French Pyrenees, not too far away from where I live- like an hour drive.
